DLD Diode Laser Driver

The DLD is a simple constant current source for both positive and negative current that can drive a laser diode in cathode or anode grounded configuration up to 300 mA. It also has a TEC driver that can supply up to 3.5 A of to provide thermal control to the laser diode.

The unit comes with an LCD display, user buttons, BNC input for slow current modulation, USB connector for serial communication and a 9 pin D-Sub connector for analog outputs and inputs to control current and Peltier voltage, sense the temperature in a thermistor bridge and optical power if the laser diode comes with a monitor diode on a 24HP front panel.

The device is a modular unit to be powered by a Eurocard rack system (sold separately) and does not require a driver to operate. Cables to Laser diode head not included. The host and device communicate only by a serial interface.
